I’m Derrick O’Neal, a fifth year Columbus, Ohio native tattoo artist. I grew up drawing, primarily pencil drawings up until high school where I gained access to other mediums and classes I could expand my art with. Video games and anime/manga were two of my other favorite things and that’s what sparked my artistic interests, character design and animal rendering was so cool to me, seeing how differently a lot of my favorite game and tv show/manga characters were created sparked inspiration in me from the point I can remember. I  developed a deep love for creating although I would go on to study Architecture at the University of Cincinnati. Lectures bored me but being an art student gave me access to the studios, other artists, and all the reference you could need. Around this time I would begin tagging along with my friends to their tattoo appointments and an interest began to grow. I would go on to leave the university and build a portfolio beginning the process into tattooing.

I’m happy to have turned my art passion into a career and craft that I’m able to not only grow day by day but have the chance to connect with so many amazing people. Outside of art I spend my time of course playing the game and watching anime, and spending time with my loving girlfriend and our amazing daughter.

I’m so glad to have met so many cool people giving me the reigns to create such amazing art for them and I look forward to continue doing so!
